Jeannine Hebb Performs

Saturday, February 13, 2010
8:00pm – 9:00pm
Caffe Vivaldi
32 Jones Street
New York, NY

If you like the music on my website, then you have heard Jeannine’s music. Now, you can hear Jeannine live in this upcoming performance! She was very kind in sharing her music with me and I would love to get the word out there for her every time she performs. Oh, and by the way, the performance is a budget busting $0…yep…FREE! It’s a short set (only an hour), but there are two other groups performing that night, and it looks like something not to be missed!

Tim Hill, “A Fixture On The NYC Opera Scene”

Sooo, tomorrow night, I am singing a fundraiser with Opera On Tap. We are raising money for Doctors without Borders, specifically to aid the Haiti crisis.

Yesterday, I get a message from a friend: “Time Out New York has called you New York opera scene fixture.” So, I think this is pretty darned cool–I’m something like an antique chair when it comes to opera in NYC. <grin> Here’s the link: Time Out New York. Not sure how long it will be up.

The concert is Wednesday, February 3, starting at 8:00 pm at the Parkside Lounge. Come out and support this great effort!

If you can’t get the link–here is a screen capture of the blurb.

KRISTALLNACHT SERVICE
On the evening of November 9, 1938, the government of Nazi Germany began burning down synagogues and smashing the glass fronts of Jewish shops in Berlin and other large cities in Germany and Austria. That night has been called Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass. From that time onward, the momentum of the Holocaust gathered force and led to wholesale persecution. Please join St. John’s Lutheran Church for a candlelight service of rememberance commemorating Kristallnacht. The service will end with an active commitment to love, healing and peace for the world.

Music by Verdi, Strauss, Mendelssohn, Weil, Handel and others.

Martha Guth, soprano
Ann McMahon Quintero, mezz0-soprano
Robert McPherson, tenor
Tim Hill, bass-baritone

All are welcome. No Tickets – donations gratefully accepted.
Seating is limited, so please let us know that you’re coming.
